Concerns about the problems facing British pubs are travelling far and wide and I recently was interviewed on French national TV about them.
I also recently met with local independent licensees and the Night-Time Industries Association (NTIA), in Norwich. At this meeting, I heard first-hand about the immediate and persistent pressures they face.
With NTIA’s support we are working to establish a permanent group in Norwich to give pubs and nightlife a lasting voice.
In Parliament, I will continue to champion the sector’s demands for action on business rates and rising costs.
