Save our Pharmacy! Lloyds Pharmacy – Colman Road
I’m joining with the University Labour councillors – City Councillors Matthew Fulton-McAlister, Beth Jones and Roger Ryan, and County Councillor Dave Rowntree – to stand against the closure of the Colman Road Lloyds Pharmacy. This comes just months after the Boots Pharmacy further up the road closed its doors.
The current pandemic has shown just how much we need reliable, community-centred access to healthcare and advice. As well as the impact on local residents – many of whom will now have to walk unacceptable distances to access a pharmacy – closing pharmacies creates a false economy and increases pressure on already-struggling GPs, A&E departments and walk-in centres. This closure will hit the most vulnerable in the community the hardest, and we are appealing to Lloyds to rethink this decision.
Please make your voice heard and sign our petition to show how valued this Pharmacy is.
