It was a pleasure to meet with Caring
Together and learn more about the incredible support
they provide for unpaid carers across Norfolk.
Every day, thousands of unpaid carers quietly support
family members and loved ones, often while balancing
work, personal responsibilities, and their own
wellbeing. Caring Together provides vital advice,
practical support, and companionship to help ensure
carers do not feel isolated or overwhelmed.
I was particularly interested to hear about their Norfolk
Befriending Service, which is currently looking for
volunteers. Volunteer Befrienders provide
companionship, practical help, and support that allows
unpaid carers to take a break, access their community,
or simply have some time for themselves.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine
difference in someone’s life while also gaining new
skills, meeting people, and supporting your local
community.
If you are interested in volunteering and helping unpaid
carers across Norfolk, I would strongly encourage you
to apply
