I have written to the Secretary of State for Heath and Social Care and the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, to raise my concerns about the NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) contract held by Palantir Technologies UK Ltd.
I used my letter to call on the ministers to:
- Commission or request an independent Data Protection Impact Assessment of the FDP contract’s compatibility with UK GDPR Article 9, to be completed before February 2027; and
- Clarify what conflict of interest assessments were undertaken in relation to Lord Mandelson’s role and publish the findings in line with the Ministerial Code.
