Inspectors have given Labour‑run Norwich City Council the highest possible rating for the housing service it provides to tenants in its 14,000‑plus council homes. Only nine social landlords across the country received the top category.
The Social Housing Regulator says the rating reflects an effective repairs service, with emergency repairs consistently delivered within target timescales. It also highlights the council’s proactive work on damp and mould, and its efforts with partner organisations to deter and tackle anti‑social behaviour and hate incidents in the communities where it provides homes.
Labour councillors are clear there is still work to do and no room for complacency. Even so, this rating is another example of how voting Labour in Norwich delivers results that improve the city and the lives of residents.
