At Treasury Questions, I called on the Chancellor to take urgent action to save our local pubs and do more to support all Norwich businesses.
Pubs are facing huge rates hikes at the same time as several government financial support schemes are being wound down.
One constituent said his pub’s rateable value will rise by 400 per cent from £19,750 to £100,000 as a result of the changes.
I will continue to urge the Government to do much more to support pub landlords and make sure those with the broadest shoulders pay their fair share.
