With volunteers at Norwich’s British Red Cross store
I visited the British Red Cross store on St Benedicts Street in Norwich to meet volunteers and learn more about the work the charity carries out locally and nationally.

Items sold in the Norwich store raise funds to support people in crisis both in our community and internationally.

I also heard about the policy work undertaken by the British Red Cross across a range of issues. This policy is used to raise awareness and to help political parties better understand the causes of crisis and how they might be addressed.

Finally, I discussed two recent publications. The first is Water’s Edge: Understanding Flood Preparedness, Impact, and Recovery in Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Communities. The second covers the movement’s response to Hurricane Melissa and provides details of their appeal.
