The hospitality sector is under threat. Ahead of the November Budget, I have joined other MPs to urge the Chancellor to act now to protect an industry that employs millions of people around the country, provides vital spaces for connection, and creates a vibrant local life in our city.

We have called on the Chancellor to:

• Lower business rates for smaller venues
• A VAT cut on hospitality to help boost demand
• Reduce National Insurance contributions to protect entry-level jobs

With these actions, the Chancellor can safeguard livelihoods and keep Norwich’s hospitality sector vibrant.
