I visited a BPAS (British Pregnancy Advisory Service) clinic for the second time, and compared to my first visit, this experience felt noticeably more positive. The changes I observed at the clinic reflect the progress in the fight for women’s reproductive rights, even amidst the global challenges.

BPAS, the UK’s leading provider of NHS-funded abortion care, has spent over 50 years advocating for women’s right to make decisions about their own bodies. Their main goal is to ensure that women accessing their services feel safe, supported, and respected.

BPAS is more than a healthcare provider; they also campaign tirelessly for progressive change, advocating the removal of women from the criminal law on abortion, establishing safe access zones and modernising the UK’s abortion laws.

During my visit to the clinic, it was reaffirmed to me that access to this type of care is not just a healthcare issue—it is a matter of human rights.
