Yet another round of cuts is planned at the UEA, which would be bad for staff, students, and our city. I raised the issue with the PM at Prime Minister’s Questions and will continue to press for more support for UEA and higher education.
UEA is one of 75 universities nationwide making redundancies. Student fee increases are, at best, a sticking plaster. They won’t stave off the collapse of many institutions and will add to students’ debts.I asked the Prime Minister how he plans to ‘fix the foundations’ of higher education.
