This week I joined colleagues Alice Macdonald MP and Ben Goldsborough MP for a good and productive meeting with the Roads Minister. We explained our combined opposition to the Western Link. The key issues raised were:

  • Devastating to local ecosystems
  • Runaway costs
  • A fraction of the budget could be better spent on preventing rat running; resolving Trowse bridge bottlenecks; and a Norfolk-wide integrated public transport system

The Minister committed to taking into account all we had told her as the Department reassesses its current infrastructure spending programme.
