I have signed a letter of support from the Transnational Institute. The letter is for Aleksandar Matković, a research associate at the Institute of Economic Sciences in Belgrade. Aleksandar has faced online surveillance, intimidation and death threats after his critical analysis of plans to mine one of Europe’s largest deposits of lithium in Serbia was published.

No one should be threatened for speaking out against envrionmentally destructive projects such as the Rio Tinto mine in Serbia. I send my solidarity to Matković.
