Clive Lewis For Norwich South
Today in Parliament I raised the issue of the Norwich Western Link to the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves.
I told her that the Western Link was another example of how the Conservatives have continued their trend of expensive and wasteful vanity projects through local means.
The proposed road would cost roughly £300m, costing over £70m per kilometre of road built.
That’s why I asked the Chancellor if she could meet with me and others to discuss other, more ecologically sound alternatives. The Chancellor said she would be happy for the Transport Secretary to meet with me to discuss this further.
Watch my question to the Chancellor here.
