The Guardian reports on voter ID impact

A survey by More In Common has estimated that voter ID could have prevented more than 400,000 people from casting their ballot in the 2024 General Election this July.

Commenting on these reports, Clive Lewis MP said:

“Government should scrap voter ID. If correct, nearly 500K voters were disenfranchised by the Tories’ voter ID scheme. This, of course, was always their intention, straight from the playbook of those around the world intent on rolling back democratic freedoms.”
