The injustice faced by millions of Women Against State Pension Inequality or WASPI, has gone on far too long. This latest report from the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman should have consigned the scandal to the history books.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t.

As someone who has long spoken up for WASPI women in their fight for justice, it’s clear the compensation suggested is insufficient. The acknowledgement of wrongdoing in the report means a cross-party consensus to compensate them properly is now urgently needed.
