Today in Parliament I asked Minister of State for Development and Africa, Andrew Mitchell MP, whether he understands the damage that arms sales to Israel have done to the UK’s international reputation.

I asked this question in the context of an Urgent Question on Israel and Gaza, where I heard MPs speak out on the atrocities being carried out in Gaza.

Throughout this session, I heard three key statements which stood out to me:

  • Starvation is being used as a weapon of war in Gaza.
  • Israel is provoking famine.
  • The UK is still selling weapons to Israel.

Watch my question and the Minister’s response here.
