Clive Lewis For Norwich South
I joined a panel on BBC Politics East this week to discuss my speech against the National Insurance tax cuts, abuse against politicians, and the energy crisis.
I told the host, Amelia Reynolds, that visits to foodbanks in my constituency had become an integral part of my role as an MP, and that this shouldn’t be the case.
The Tories’ punitive welfare system is driving people across the country into poverty. Norfolk and Waveney in particular are suffering, as families face the highest rates of malnutrition in the country.
If Labour were in power, we would make the changes necessary to bring families out of poverty. I will keep fighting for a government that does just that.
