Today I attended a joint event held in Parliament by the Council for Arab British Understanding (CAABU) and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) on the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Ambassador of the State of Palestine Husam Zomlot gave an eloquent speech about the plight of the Palestinian people and the need for their liberation.

It is crucial that we continue to support and work with organisations such as MAP and CAABU to ensure aid enters Gaza.

We also have to work together to send a united signal for an immediate ceasefire, and that hostages and detainees are released.
