I have signed a letter from Caroline Lucas MP to the Immigration Minister, written on behalf of 17 Chevening scholars from Afghanistan who are currently studying in the UK, and who are based at universities in our constituencies.

The letter highlights their precarious immigration status post-graduation, and we urge the Minister to issue them, and their immediate families, with Leave to Remain when their scholarships end.

I hope the Minister can respond swiftly, bringing the scholars and their families to safety.
