This week marks the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Environmental Audit Committee.
Although I am a relatively new member of the Committee, I understand that as we move closer to the worst effects of the climate crisis, the Committee serves a significant role in holding the Government to account on their respective targets.
In the last 8 years I’ve spent in Parliament, the Committee has helped push the climate crisis up on the political agenda.
You can learn more about the Committee’s impact here, where I spoke to Mark D’Arcy on BBC Radio 4, Today in Parliament.
Coverage of the EAC begins at 16:23.
