Clive Lewis For Norwich South

I have received a very large number of postcards from constituents expressing outrage and concern about the water pollution scandal.
England is unique in having a fully privatised water system, and the privatisation of our water has gone hand in hand with a decline in water quality.
Private companies are pumping raw sewage into our seas and waterways, and as a result, people in Norwich and millions more around the UK can no longer trust the cleanliness of the water they use.
Having access to clean and safe coastal waters and rivers is a public necessity, not a luxury. We should not be compromising this necessity so a handful of companies can make a profit from our common assets.
Water is a shared resource that we all depend on, so it should be democratically managed and publicly owned.
