Many constituents have written to me to tell me how concerned they are about Westminster lurching from crisis to crisis while mlilions of households up and down the country are struggling to make ends meet.

I have called for a General Election now to end the dysfunction in Westminster, to bring about a Government that has a democratic mandate from the public and which can steer us through this crisis.
