In October I launched the Energy Equity bill.

This would see a free universal basic energy allowance rolled out so that every has access to the energy needed to power the essentials of life – from heating and cooking, to lighting and connectivity. It also proposes a big scale up in home retrofitting, to help those in the 19 million homes with an EPC rating below C improve their energy efficiency, which would help permanently cut energy bills by reducing energy wastage.
