I call on the Bank of England to unleash green investment and regulate fossil finance

I’ve joined with 50 other MPs and peers to call on the Bank of England to unleash green investment and regulate fossil finance.
The UN and the International Environment Agency are clear: to keep global warming within 1.5 degrees, we have to stop all investment in new fossil fuel projects this year.
The Bank of England has a central role to play in bringing the financial system in line with climate targets, and this is a golden opportunity to shape the global green finance agenda.
