The scandal of dangerous combustible cladding means that there are people in Norwich South who aren’t safe in their own homes. My constituents, and many more affected around the country, cannot wait a moment longer for this to be resolved.
I’ve coordinated a letter, signed by over 50 MPs from across parties, calling for urgent action from Government in the new Parliamentary session which starts tomorrow.
The Government must step in to protect leasholders from all costs of remediation. Those in the construction and development industry who are responsible for building unsafe homes in the first place pay for the costs of remediation – not the victims of this scandal. It’s a basic matter of fairness.
