It is the responsibility of Government to make homes safe and protect people. It is a scandal that nearly four years after the Grenfell Tower fire, hundreds of thousands of people, including some of my constituents in Norwich South, are still live in buildings covered in dangerous cladding.
To end the cladding scandal, the Labour Party is calling on the Government to make homes safe. That must include providing upfront costs to start fixing cladding, and making those responsible pay for repairs instead of passing the costs onto residents.
