When Covid-19 first hit the Government did the right thing to provide NHS Trusts with additional funds, so that NHS staff in England didn’t have to pay for parking. But now, according to reports by the Mirror, parking charges for NHS staff in England are creeping back.
This afternoon Zarah Sultana MP secured a debate in Parliament on this issue, and although I wasn’t able to attend, I have joined over 40 other MPs, GMB Union, Unite the union and Nurses United UK to write to the Prime Minister asking for NHS staff in England to be provided with free parking, and for this change to be permanent.
