It was great to be back at the Silver Road Community Centre yesterday, for the launch of the ‘Silver Parcels’ foodbank. Although the Centre is located just over the border in Norwich North, much of the area this foodbank serves lies within my constituency of Norwich South.
A huge thanks to Cllr Julie Brociek-Coulton and the team for their work in getting this project up and running. This is the latest in a long line of initiatives run by the SIlver Road Community Centre to support local residents and build a better community. As ever, it is a travesty that foodbanks are still needed to make sure everyone can get by – but I am grateful to the volunteers who step in to help.
