Job Title: Constituency Caseworker for 32 hrs p/w over 4 or 5 days

Working For: Clive Lewis MP

Location: Norwich South

Salary: £18384 for 32hrs p/w.

work independently on constituents’ often complex cases including liaising with government departments and agencies;
attend surgeries and meetings as required
ensure all data is dealt with in an accurate, sensitive and confidential manner
competent use of IT
some weekend and evening working may be required
attend local asylum seeker forum and liaise with immigration, asylum seeker and refugee groups
training will be provided in specific areas of casework

Engage with people from a variety of backgrounds on the phone, by email and in person.
Clear commitment to helping people
Excellent IT and admin skills
Able to work with minimal supervision as part of a small team
Good understanding of social policy issues, with immigration knowledge an advantage
Commitment to the aims and values of the Labour party
