It is disgraceful that the most vulnerable children in Norfolk are paying the price for local Tory County Council incompetence and national Tory government cuts. We are one of the wealthiest countries in the world, but local children with special educational needs are not receiving the support they need.
The Conservative-run County Council needs to do two things now. Firstly, sort out the way it is running its SEND service. Secondly, urgently demand that their Tory colleagues in government close the gap in funding for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and provide extra funding to reverse deficits in councils’ High Needs Budgets.
