On Friday, it was a pleasure to visit dementia-friendly social club The Oaks Community Centre and join in their second birthday celebrations. Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome!

Pictured on the left in the first picture is Lois Wiltshire, who started the club and is hoping to make Bowthorpe a dementia-friendly community – having already worked with a number of organisations across the city (including Aviva and Norwich Theatre Royal) to bring them closer to this aim. Bowthorpe County Cllr Mike Sands is also working with other County councillors to get similar centres running elsewhere in Norfolk.
