You will be responsible for the practicalities and outputs of our MP’s diary and volunteer operations. You will also convene, run, and be responsible for public-facing roundtable and ‘town hall’ style events of various scales, internal meetings, and community outreach-related tasks such as running surveys and processing responses.
You’ll be responsible for most aspects of our premises, including security.
As and when required, and with training, you will deputise for and assist with the responsibilities of other members of the constituency office team.
These are the essential requirements for this post.
Experience of:
- Working in customer-facing roles.
- Responsibility for and practicalities of effectively organising people and resources.
- Prioritising a demanding workload on behalf of yourself and/or on behalf of a wider team or organisation and responding to complaints.
In addition, we would prefer experience of liaising with a wide range of stakeholders on behalf of a senior figure.
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, can work well under pressure and within competing deadlines and are comfortable with contemporary collaborative office software such as the Microsoft Office suite.
You must be a hardworking, flexible team player with a positive attitude who is calm, determined, and capable of taking responsibility and motivating volunteers, individually and as groups.
