OpenDemocracy asked for my comment on a story which revealed that the Home Office appeared to have given no consideration to the threat of Islamophobic hate crime in the wake of Hamas’s attacks on Israel, despite warning chief constables about the “obvious risk” of rising antisemitism.

I told OpenDemocracy the following:

“This doesn’t help the Muslim community and it sure as hell doesn’t help the Jewish community,”

“This divide and rule policy is not just wrong – it’s dangerous.”
