Today I appeared on BBC Politics East, where I was asked about my thoughts on the Covid inquiry.

I told the host, Amelia Reynolds, that although many governments around the world struggled with the outbreak of COVID-19, the lack of transparency and accountability from Boris Johnson and other senior politicians allowed COVID-19 to wreak havoc in vulnerable communities.

Transparency and accountability are key foundations of any democracy. It is clear that at the root of this scandal lies serious issues with our democracy.
