The cross-party support for a ceasefire is indicative of a shared desire for the U.K. to uphold humanitarianism in our approach to conflict resolution.

As the world fragments, holding onto these values has never been more important.

We cannot turn our back on them now.

I have signed the amendment tabled by Zarah Sultana MP calling for a ceasefire, and I have re-confirmed my support for the Motion re-tabled by Richard Burgon MP on protecting civilians in Gaza and Israel.
