On Saturday I spoke at a demo in support of people seeking asylum outside a hotel where they are being temporarily housed.

Being at the demo made me so proud of Norwich.

Hundreds turned out to stand in solidarity with refugees, and against far-right racists who chose to and intimidate them at one of the Government’s hotels.

I say to them: you chose the wrong city. Refugees are welcome here.
