When governments say they will push through pay freezes, benefit cuts and crack down on crime, what that actually means is that black workers will suffer more than anyone else, that black communities will be the first to lose their rights

That’s what I told the TUC black workers conference.

Thank you to the Trades Union Congress for inviting me to speak at their panel on organising for racial justice.

I met so many black workers with different stories of their experiences in the workplace, reminding me how crucial it is that we continue to fight for justice.
