It was a privilege to be able to present graduates of Prince’s Trust and Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service‘s TEAM course with their certificates at a ceremony last week.

TEAM is a free 12-week personal development course for 16-25 year olds not in employment, education or training. It includes a residential week, a community project and a 2-week work placement: all helping develop key skills and confidence.

This project, and the efforts of these young people, is outstanding and inspirational. I first visited the group seven weeks before the ceremony took place, and they were a different bunch of people; the change has been dramatic and brilliant. The community project in particular is really important: the participants have really given something back and seen how you can make a difference. I am very proud of them all.
