Following Lord Walney’s report on political violence and disruption, I stood up in Parliament to raise my concerns about the report’s recommendations to potentially remove trial by jury for those protesting racism and climate change.

I told the House that the report undermines our hard-won rights and that the Government should see it as a sham report.
