In light of a recent speech by the Irish President critiquing the ‘obsession’ with economic growth, the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Limits to Growth (Caroline Lucas MP) just tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM), calling on the Government to support the transition to a Wellbeing Economy.

I am glad to co-sponsor this EDM, as it is clear that perpetual growth has left society blinkered to the ecological catastrophe we now face. We need a comprehensive strategy to transition to a wellbeing economy.
