Today in Parliament I raised the critical situation currently engulfing the University of East Anglia.

With the announcement of Professor David Richardson’s resignation, as well as the University being in upwards of £45 million worth of projected debt, this could spell disaster for the regional economy.

I’m glad to have been told that following my question, the Minister of State for Education Robert Halfon, has agreed to meet with me and a delegation from UEA to discuss this important situation.

Watch my question to the Minister here.
