Nearly a year has passed since NSFT was rated ‘inadequate’ by the CQC. An urgent need remains to interrogate – with full transparency, in public view – how it came to be that continual failure was allowed to happen, and learn lessons so that this can not happen again, anywhere.

I have written to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to once again call for a public inquiry into the Trust’s systemic failure, and asked him to meet with me and mental health campaigners from Norfolk and Suffolk to get an inquiry underway.
