The Government’s aim to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 must go hand in hand with teaching children about the climate and the world we will inhabit.

I am proud to co-sponsor the Climate Education Bill, introduced by my Labour party colleague Nadia Whittome MP and backed by Teach the Future.

The Bill will integrate teaching about climate change and sustainability throughout the curriculum in primary schools and secondary schools, and on vocational courses.
