I joined over 300 others outside City Hall on the weekend for the global day of action coinciding with #COP27

As I said on Saturday, there are a lot of people struggling to make ends meet at the moment. The cost of living crisis is the climate crisis. The two are not separate, they’re interlinked.

It’s important that we get across to people that the rise in the cost of food is all linked to the chaos that is ensuing – and it’s only set to get worse. Don’t lose hope, but understand the scale of the challenge before us.

If you are going to tackle the climate crisis, you’re going to have to tackle inequality. The poor cannot give up what they don’t consume.
