Although we all need to do our bit to keep everyone safe, I made it clear that the majority of people are following the guidance. However we would be in a much better situation if the government had introduced lockdown earlier, hadn’t sent mixed messages by introducing schemes such as ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ and hadn’t spent years systematically underfunding our NHS.
