Currently, me and my office are fighting a reckless decision by the Home Office to deport one of my constituents to Albania. The constituent concerned was a victim of sex trafficking gangs, has one young child born in Britain and is pregnant with a second. If she were to be deported, there is a strong likelihood she would be at risk of an honour killing.

I’m about to meet with Home Office officials, and the point I will be making is that if she is deported her life will be in danger. This is that serious. Clearly she should be allowed to remain indefinitely. Sending her back would be a death sentence.
