Clive Lewis For Norwich South

Local GP practices have told me they are worried about the increase in employer’s national insurance contributions, which was announced in the Autumn Budget. I’ve written to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury with those concerns.
GPs are already under significant financial pressure, and the doctors tell me that additional costs could strain resources further, potentially impacting patient care.
Funding for GPs next year will be determined through the annual NHS contract, negotiated later this year. I hope the government will then take the opportunity to address GPs’ employers’ national insurance concerns.
