Countless constituents have been in touch to tell me about the extreme hurdles they face getting access to dental treatment – if they can get it at all.
I have joined other MPs to write to the Chief Secretary of the Treasury to raise concerns about the state of NHS dentistry and to call for this service to get the resources it needs.
I stand by what I said in Parliament in May when I spoke about the terrible state of NHS dentistry: dental care is health care. If constituents in Norwich South cannot access the healthcare they need when they need it, I am afraid that we have a national health service in name only. Oral and dental care must be fully provided for by the NHS.
