Being on the backbenches has allowed me to spend ever more time speaking up for Norwich at what is currently a very difficult time with manufacturing and police job losses.
Being on the frontbench will never stop me speaking up for the city but it will mean I have to devote a bit more time to national treasury issues. But ultimately I understand so many of the problems facing our city will only be resolved with the election of a Labour government.
If by playing my part in convincing the electorate that a future Labour government will ensure we have an economy that works for the many and not just the few, then I know Norwich will benefit. To that end it’s a great privilege to serve again on the frontbench.
