Shadow Minister hears concerns of Solar Industry

Norwich South MP Clive Lewis, recently hosted a round table discussion at PriceWaterhouse Coopers in Norwich with the Solar Trade Association to hear first hand how Government policy on solar energy is not only letting down the environment, but also the renewable energy sector.

Clive said "This Government have failed on their promise to be the greenest Government ever.  Instead they've given tax breaks to fracking companies and proposing heavy cuts to solar energy."

Leonie Green of the Solar Trade Association said “The Solar Trade Association and those that we work with in the sector have endured repeated shock changes to solar policy since the election. It is enormously helpful to have Clive's support - an MP who is determined to try to find a creative way forward for the solar industry. We are still hopeful that Government may yet listen to the 55,000 responses to the solar consultation, but we will continue to need to work with Clive to try to maximise the growth of solar around Norwich/Norfolk.”
